You can change the default settings for your locations so they better suit your needs. This will save you time if you are planning on adding multiple locations with other settings than the default settings.
This article covers how to change default settings for music, sound, data usage and crossfade. To update your default settings, simply:
- Log in to business.soundtrackyourbrand.com/login
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on the "Zone presets" tab
Please note that changes made in these settings will only affect new locations, and not your current ones.
Your account has a default soundtrack assigned to play when a new location is activated. You can change which music automatically plays by clicking "Change music" next to the soundtrack.
Sound settings, data usage and crossfade
The default setting is Stereo, but you can select Mono from the drop down menu.
Data usage can be adjusted to free up bandwidth from other devices on your network. Higher data usage will result in better music quality.
The Crossfade feature helps you to avoid gaps in your music and creates a smoother transition between songs. It fades out the currently playing song while fading into the next one. You can adjust the crossfade length up to 10 seconds or turn it off completely.
You can enable or disable the option to pair the remote application to locations.
We support playback with as low as 0.2 Mbps so even if your internet connection is slow, the music won’t steal bandwidth from business critical systems, such as your cash register.
